AMA at the COVESA Fall All Member Meeting 2026
George Ayres speaks on “Emerging Trends in Connected Vehicles” at the 2026 COVESA Fall All Member Meeting in Novi, Michigan, where this fall's theme is integrating vehicle data in fleets, commercial vehicles, and adjacent industries.

The 2026 COVESA Fall All Member Meeting takes place October 28–29 at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel in Novi, Michigan. This fall's theme, “Integrating Vehicle Data in Fleets, Commercial Vehicles, and Adjacent Industries,” focuses on how open collaboration can translate into meaningful business and technical progress.
COVESA's member meetings are hands-on and collaborative. The sessions center on the architectural side of connected mobility, including open-source data platforms and vehicle-to-cloud infrastructure.

NewsletterDrivers pick the station by what is next door
Paren studied 4,105 DC fast charging stations at 100 kW or above and found the median site running 9 sessions a day, grocery-adjacent sites running 42, and sites with nothing within walking distance running 3. A 100 kW session takes 25 to 40 minutes, which is what a grocery run takes, so the low numbers at most sites measure whether people will wait in a parking lot for half an hour and tell you very little about EV demand in that trade area.
