George Ayres

George brings more than 25 years in the automotive industry, including 12 years in connected vehicles and IoT. He has built global automotive ecosystem partnerships, new mobility business models, and connected vehicle services, and has helped technology start-ups scale into automakers, Tier 1 suppliers, and enterprise fleets.

In connected vehicles and new mobility, he led IBM's automotive IoT work with Honda, Toyota, Ford, and GM; ran Verizon Telematics engagements with Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Nissan; and served at connected-car start-up Vinli with ALD Automotive, Airmax, RapidSOS, and Stellantis.

On the automaker side, George was VP Marketing and Residual Values for the US market at Jaguar Cars, and held product planning, retail dealership, and marketing roles at Ford Motor Company. He has led winning teams at IT integrators, telecoms, automakers, and auto tech start-ups.

George founded AutoMobility Advisors in 2021 and leads senior client engagements across strategy, partnerships, and growth in North America and Europe, spanning fleet telematics, data monetization, subscription management, Data-as-a-Service, CV2X, smart cities, and IoT — always focused on new mobility and innovation.
